• Depth of Field is basically: How much blur can be allowed until it becomes objectionable?

• Zeiss formula for Circle of Confusion: c = d/1730, d is the size of the image sensor The value 1730 is by measurement using a 35 mm camera, but it can change.

• Longer focal length: lower DoF

• Larger aperture: lower DoF

• Larger distance between subject and background: lower DoF
